With the arrival of Winemaker Marcia Torres Forno in 2010, our Sauvignon Blanc production underwent a fundamental transformation. In concert with her winemaking and viticulture teams, Marcia helped change how we plant, farm, harvest and vinify this noble grape. We currently produce five different bottlings of Sauvignon Blanc: Sonoma County, Knights Valley/Helena Bench, Bennett Valley, Russian River Valley (not every year) and Journey.
To accentuate the specific attributes of terroir and style, Marcia uses a combination of fermentation/aging vessels including stainless steel tanks, stainless steel barrels, concrete eggs, puncheons, foudres and French oak barrels.
All of our Sauvignon Blancs possess firm acidity, bold aromatics and vivid flavors. Their diversity and versatility make them excellent companions for a wide array of foods including oysters, green olives, vegetables and seafood.
